More than 50 years Orbitalum Tools

1960

Founding of today's Orbitalum Tools GmbH as a branch at the Swiss industrial group Georg Fischer AG, with headquarters in Schaffhausen (CH).

1964

Market launch of the RA 4 pipe cutting and chamfering machine (pioneer of the GF 4).

1993

Foundation of the Rohrverbindungstechnik GmbH, in Singen.

1994

Internationalization of sales activities in Asia and Eastern Europe.

1998

Market launch of the pipe end processing machines (REB).

2000

Development of the CIS states and takeover of US activities. Market launch of the boiler pipe processing machines.

2005

Market launch of the portable pipe cutting and chamfering machines PS 4.5 and PS 6.6

2006

Change from Georg Fischer AG to ITW (Illinois Tool Works) Inc. Orbitalum has since then been organizationally part of the ITW Welding Group.

2006

Change of name from Rohrverbindungstechnik GmbH to Orbitalum Tools GmbH.

2008

Acquisition of Orbimatic GmbH by ITW.

2009

Orbitalum Tools and Orbimatic are merged to the new "Orbitalum Tools GmbH". Orbitalum is now a complete supplier for orbital tube machining.

2009

Orbitalum Tools is responsible for the sales and marketing of E.H. Wachs in Europe.

2010

The Rome based company PR.A.I. srl, manufacturer of orbital welding heads, is acquired by ITW.
